What do I need to possess to participate?

The Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education is pleased to provide educational offerings as webinars. Currently the WebEx Event Center is being utilized as the delivery system which broadcasts CE activities.  Please be sure to review the WebEx required operating systems and browsers.

Your computer must have an internet connection (not dial-up), external speakers or a headset.  iPad and certain smart devices in most cases will support the WebEx broadcast, but it is best to visit www.webex.com to verify compatibility with the device you are using.

How do I receive my instructions?

When you register for a webinar on the CE website, your webinar instructions will now be contained on your registration confirmation page.  Please print or save the instructions for your convenience. Approximately two business days prior to the webinar, you will be emailed a reminder of your webinar meeting instructions. To ensure that you receive this information, please log into your CE account and verify that your email address is up-to-date.

How should I sign in to the webinar?

You can follow the URL listed on your WebEx invitation.  If you cannot locate your WebEx invitation you can return to your CE registration confirmation page by following the steps below:

  • Go to the CE registration page at www.pharm.buffalo.edu/ce and log-in.
  • Select “Current Live or WebEx” tab at the top of the page.
  • Click on your “Order ID” at the top of the page (highlighted in blue).
  • Your WebEx information, instructions and link will be on this confirmation page.
  • Enter your first name, last name, email address, and event password from your receipt.
  • Click on “Join now.”

How do I receive my program materials?

All program materials will now be available once you join the meeting.

Once you join the WebEx meeting, please note a program information page will display which will contain a PDF link to the educational materials for this activity.  Be sure you click on the link and download or print the materials as a reference. 

How do I participate in the assessment questions?

Please note CE offerings may contain pre-test, assessment questions and a post-test. Participation in the active learning component of these programs is required. Webinar instructions will contain the below information when active learning is incorporated in the program.

  • Open a second tab and go to www.rwpoll.com
  • Enter the session ID: pharmacyce (all one word, no spaces, lower case)
  • Click "Join Session"
  • Enter First and Last Name
  • Do not enter anything under “user data”

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SCREEN WILL SAY “POLLING CLOSED"—THIS IS CORRECT. THE POLLING WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL THE PRESENTER ACTIVATES THE FIRST QUESTION. To answer the questions, simply select your number/letter answer on your keyboard. Your remote responses will automatically be added to the polling in the live session. 

Please do not chat your answers via WebEx.

When returning to the polling window to participate in the post-test, you may note a message indicating you are no longer connectedthis is due to the page being idle. Simply refresh the page.

How do I receive my evaluation?

At the conclusion of the program you will receive a link to the program evaluation. Please take a moment to complete this, your feedback is appreciated.
